Companies use branding all the time when they push their products into the market. They want to influence the way you perceive them as a company and the products they put into the market.


Branding is about intentionally evoking a desired emotional response in a customer, client or target audience. The way you frame your classroom experience can evoke an emotional response in students as well. Founder and CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, says “your brand is what other people say about you when you’re not in the room.”

So what’s your classroom brand? What do you want students, parents and colleagues to say about you and about your class when you’re not in the room?


You have the power to influence and frame this.  


Using branding to your advantage can help create a transformative experience for students participating in your classroom throughout a year, or more.


We don’t always have control over what we teacher, but we do have control over how we teach and how we frame what we teach.
