Workshop Description

Dive into collaborative and experiential learning to better understand the neuroscience of implicit bias.

Participants will review and discuss resources, perspectives, personal experiences, Harvard implicit association assessments as well as research on implicit bias, including what it is, how to self-identify implicit bias, how to overcome it, how to talk about it, how to teach others about it and how to cope with it personally and professionally.

  • What implicit bias is and how it relates to education, as well as, your personal life.

  • The neuroscience of implicit bias and strategies to effectively retrain your associations.

  • Participants will emerge with a self-developed "bias cleanse" to serve as a guide to promote renewed awareness.
